When she gets a new job offer back home, Niki must decide what she wants out of the next chapter of her life–to cling to the straight and narrow like always, or to take a leap of faith and live the kind of bold life the old Niki never would have dreamed of. Free-spirited Sam helps Niki get in touch with her passionate and creative side, and with her Indian roots. When Niki and Sam join Diya, her husband and their friends on a group honeymoon, their connection grows deeper. At the wedding, the champagne flows and their flirtatious banter makes it clear that the attraction is mutual. Maybe it’s the splendor of Mumbai or the magic of the holiday season, but Niki is immediately drawn to Sam. Niki arrives in India just in time to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, where she meets London musician Sameer Mukherji. So for the first time ever, she throws caution to the wind and books a last-minute flight for her friend Diya’s wedding. When she’s laid off, Niki realizes that practical hasn’t exactly paid off for her. And she’s always dated guys that seem good on paper, rather than the ones who give her butterflies. She’s always stuck close to home, in case her family needed her. Despite her love for music and art, she became an analyst for the stability. Twenty-nine-year-old Niki Randhawa has always made practical decisions.

"All my earlier books were about a middle class Indian male character but in this book I took the perspective of a modern Indian girl and wrote from a female first perspective. One Indian Girl - as it is signifying, the title of the book suggests that it is very interesting and seems to be related to feministic approach. One Indian Girl which is the author's first effort to write from a woman's perspective. Since their release a number of his novels have been modified into successful Bollywood films. Every year they pull pranks on those that they feel are beneath them or need reminding of where their place is. Her and her two best friends have their own clique with their own little game, The Lying Game. Sutton is queen bee not only of her group but her school. Guess I will just have to continue on with the rest of the series very soon. I was hoping for some hidden clues about who killed Sutton but there wasn't any. This was a great little novella but it doesn't really add much to the overall series at all. I couldn't wait to get more insight into the type of character Sutton was before she was murdered. Sutton although sometimes a complete bitch of a character has always intrigued me and I have embraced her from the start. Even though this is only a very short novella I knew I had to have it. government responsible for liaison with Interpol), since 2010. Since at least June 2015, ICE has run what it calls Project Red. ICE gives every evidence of believing that Red Notices are warrants, and, as such, are a reliable way to focus the agency’s resources. This one I liked though! In my opinion Rebecca Jenshak is a solid writer of romances starring jocks, and I really love her Smart Jocks series. It's also confusing that the same characters seem to have reaationships with more than one person, as I had already heard Adele's story (also as Chance's sister from Australia) in Filthy Firefighter, but there her love interest was called Hayden Flynn. So far I have experienced that the quality of the books in the Hero Club series are of a huge variety, many not so good. Appreciated a new listen from Rebecca Jenshak!
